Our client is a Pension Transfer and Offshore Investment specialist group serving the affluent expatriate community globally, with a focus on SE Asia, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

 

 

From our HQ in Kuala Lumpur, we provide pension consulting and investing services, specifically for individuals who have accumulated pension funds in the UK.

 

 

In simple terms, we help our clients to locate pension funds within the UK, transfer these funds to a pension trustee offshore, and then invest the funds via our offshore investment platform. We provide our clients with access to thousands of mutual funds, ETF’s structured products and opportunities within the global equity markets.

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

 

The position offers wide exposure to the fast-paced International Wealth Management & Pensions business, providing successful candidates with the opportunity to forge a successful, long term International Financial Services career. The role incorporates ongoing training alongside active sales & business development activities, leading towards a career as a fully licensed Pension & Investment Consultant.

 

Trainees will be required to seek out new business, pitching offshore pension transfers and investment strategies to affluent expatriates across the globe. Candidates must be comfortable with generating business opportunities over the phone, with cold and warm calling being widely utilised techniques in marketing to prospective clients.

 

Progressive and ongoing training will be provided, with a key focus on the following areas:

 

  • Offshore Investment Strategies

  • Taxation Advice

  • International Pension Transfers

  • Portfolio Structuring and Management  Investment-Linked Insurance Products

 

Trainees will be put through all of the required exams & qualifications in order to become a fully licensed Pension & Investment Consultant, progressing into a client-facing, consulting position.

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

 

We are searching for driven and ambitious candidates to join our young and energetic team in Kuala Lumpur.

In a nutshell, we are looking for candidates who're prepared to work hard and are keen to learn as much as possible, in order to establish themselves within a highly lucrative and rapidly expanding field.

 

  • Target driven and highly motivated

  • High level of confidence and determination  Strong communication and relationship skills

  • Sales experience highly preferable (ideally incorporating phone based selling)

 

REMUNERATION:

 

Year 1 On Target Earnings: GBP20,000-40,000.

 

The Trainee Pension & Investment Consultant role is highly performance based, as is the nature of the industry. Trainees are remunerated on a weekly based, according to the number of prospects appointed in that week. Providing Trainees’ are performing to a satisfactory level, this will provide a comfortable income for living in Kuala Lumpur.

 

On top of this weekly remuneration, trainees will earn commission on business closed from their prospects, with typical deals drawing anywhere between GBP600 and GBP10,000 in trainee earnings.

 

 

Salary + weekly appointment earnings + commissions. (Opt out of the salary to increase commission override). More details regarding the remuneration structure will be provided during the interview process.
